About me

I have a wonderful family - 2 young girls, ages 4 & 6 and a great husband who is also a United Church minister. We work, like most families these days, trying hard to balance life, family and work. We are blessed to have a great extended family, people we can count on!!

I love my family, reading, knitting, cross stitch, writing, cooking/baking, horse back riding (not that I do a lot of that anymore), biking, swimming, singing, movies, offering spiritual direction, yoga, meditation, and being a minister.

In 2010 I completed a course in spiritual direction from the Atlantic Jubilee Association here in the Maritimes!

I am the minister at Mountain View United Church, a great place to be.

I have been ordained since 1996. My ministry degrees were obtained at McGill and the United Theological College in Montreal. I was a student minister at St. Genevieve United Church in Pointe Claire Quebec during my final year of study.

I had two summer internships. One in Northern Saskatchewan, the pastoral charge at that time was called the Spiritwood Pastoral charge and it included Glasyn, Spiritwood, and Shell Lake. What a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. I had a great time and learn more than I can imagine in those 16 weeks. Plus I got my first cat Jessie!!

The next summer I had a self directed internship. I took a unit in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at the Royal Victoria hospital with Rev. Phyllis Smyth as my supervisor. Another fantastic experience!!

The next summer I took a second unit of CPE and was ordained.

My first church position was in Rawdon Quebec, a beautiful setting and great place to begin ministry.
Then I was off to the Royal Victoria and Montreal General hospitals as a chaplain.
After that to Cowansville Quebec and from there to Moncton NB where I worked for 3 months at St. John's United Church before being called to Mountain View.

That's me in a few words.
